All staff very informative, friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and spacious. Good location. Would stay again when back in Singapore.

Good facilities; clean; good customer service. Recommend staying in a room away from the lifts as noise of people carries. We will stay again, but probably in a business advantage room higher up. Good, cheap local eateries nearby; walking distance to Chinatown and Clarke Quay; very convenient location.

On a very early arrival to Singapore, after a long flight, we were delighted to be told our room was ready. Service from all staff, from arrival to departure, was excellent - could not fault this hotel for our stay and would certainly choose this hotel to stay again in Singapore.

Attentive service, room with all the luxuries and the perfect location on the Clarke Quay. Couldn't fault it, will definately be back. Highly recommend.

I staid in a king-bed room on the executive floor. The breakfast in the lounge and evening happy hour with light fare was great. The location on Clark Quay is perfect. It is close to the metro and also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Fort Cannon park is also nearby and good for a scenic stroll. Great location...right next to Clark Quay where there is plenty of restaurants, shopping and night life! The staff at the hotel were very customer-service oriented. They went out of their way to make sure that I was treated well. There was something for every different culture on the breakfast buffet. Excellent hotel and room for the price. Brilliant location for the Quays - its right opposite Clarke Quay. The only potential drawback is that our first room overlooked Clarke Quay and noise could be heard from it in the room late at night, however we were swiftly moved to a quieter room. The service was impeccable.

Staff are friendly, service is top class and the Hotel is a fun place to stay.

We stayed with your children just for a short break before they went back to school.The location is great for sighseeing and dining out. As it is so close to the river restaurants, you will also enjoy nightclubs, right next door, pumping out music or karaoke until the late hours.Obviously I didnt know this, and my kids and us couldnt get to sleep till […] very late.So, the trade off for thi shotel was their great kids pool and its location via the river. The locations of the Swissotel Merchant Court was great for our 2 days exploring the city. We had everything we needed right near the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly.

A fantastic hotel, from service to facilities everything was of a very high standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location right on Clark Quay for resaurants and nightlife. MRT at doorstep means getting around is simple, quick and cheap. Hotel staff are friendly & helpful and pool overlooking Singapore river is great.

This is a lovely hotel and set on Clark Quay. The overall service here is excellent although booking in did take a while as it appeared that training of new personnel was taking place. I stayed in an executive level room as I was only staying for one night and wanted breakfast included and this was the only option available to me. The one night cost […] me £276 including all taxes and service charges. It was expensive to say the least but as I was only staying the one night I decided to spoil myself. II could have had a Courtyard Suite at Raffles for another £25 and in hindsight I wish I had, as the room (#1043) was small but tastefully furnished. There was no hot water when I showered on arrival but I survived. There is complimentary free Internet in the executive rooms and free drinks and snacks in the Executive Lounge on the 11th floor between 6pm and 8pm of whick I took advantage which are more selling points I suppose. All in all I enjoyed my stay there and would stay again if only for the one night but for a longer stopover I would choose another hotel but Clark Quay hotels are similarly priced so would have to be an alternative location. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Having flown from Heathrow, we weren't ready for the slack check-in procedures, where the desk person discovered that there were no non-smoking queen beds available (that was our stated request, some weeks earlier), so we were kept waiting for some time while several of them juggled things. The internet service was adequate but badly overpriced at […] some $19 for 24 hours (and the wifi didn't work). We had booked without breakfast and when we decided to eat there on the second morning, we were asked to sign for full buffet at $62 (for 2). We only wanted continental, and were assured we could order a la carte. We did, and found ourselves charged $58 for muesli, coffee and orange juice. A single beer, ordered at the poolside, was $18. Next time, we'll go back to the Novotel, just across the river. It had views, far better service and far more reasonable charges. We used this hotel as a stopover from Frankfurt. Staff were excellent, appointments terrific and overall a great place for a stopover or a holiday as the facilities are first class

Stayed for 5 nights wonderful clean rooms good ,obligeing and friendly staff lovely breakfast only wish it could be included in the price of the room when bookiing as I would have much preferred that .Overall a wonderful Hotel I would recommend it to anyone . Although a tad on the pricey side, the location was right next to the RiverPointe (river walk) and just a short walk to Chinatown. It was perfect. The wireless internet was free for me but the price for the breakfast was outrageous to me so I never ate at the hotel. Located directly on Clarke Quay with access to the MRT directly across the road the Swissotel Merchant Court could not be located any better. Our room had a fantastic balcony overlooking the bridge across the river - superb!

I Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Swissotel Merchant. The staff are a credit to the hotel and the breakfast was one of the best that I have experienced when travelling for a long time. Nicely located at Clarque key - If you are looking to party this is the area to stay, walkable to most of the places around , great location. rooms are nice and clean. They had some renovation going on so there was no view but I guess it is only temp

Very nice hotel for a 4 star, great service even better location, walking distance to Clarke Quay and Boat Quays for a variety of restaurants, the buffet breakfast was good value for money and was as good as ay 5 star hotel. The rooms were very clean, well presented, maintained and well appointed. Certainly use this hotel for next visit

This is hotel is very low standard!

We were very pleased with this hotel. The location -- right on the Singapore River and across the street from the Clark Quay MRT -- is very convenient. There's a great promenade along the river with periodic markers describing the history and significance of places along the way. Many historical sights are within a 15 to 20 minute walk from the hotel. […] There are lots of restaurants close by, a huge shopping center across the street (the Central), and a supermarket in the basement of the Novotel about 15 minutes walk across the river. The hotel itself is very nice. Although we could tell that the tub and nightstands were a bit old, their condition did not bother us because everything in our room was clean and functioned well. The carpeting, bed linens and mattress were nice and seemed relatively new. As in most SE Asian hotels, the bed had a thin down comforter when we would have preferred something lighter. We also would have liked windows screens and a fan so that we wouldn't have needed to use the air conditioner at night. The hotel's Market Cafe had a reasonably priced ala carte menu. Our only complaint about the hotel is what seemed to us the excessively high wifi charge. We solved this by using the internet cafe around the corner. There is also free wifi at Starbucks in the Central shopping center across the street, but you need a Singapore cell phone number to make it work. Great hotel, great staff, great service, great location. The surrounding river and Marine bay is such and exciting and vibrant place, great night life, lots to do and see and great restaurants. Convenient shopping centre across from Hotel. The Hotel gift shop has some great things at good prices so I highly recommend to have a look. If location were all that mattered, Swissotel Merchant Court would be a great place to stay. It is adjacent to Clarke Quay, an entertainment district with dozens of great restaurants and bars. I arrived at 1 a.m. after flying for 21 hours from the States, and the drunks and partiers outside did not quiet down until after 5 a.m. This was true for each of the 3 nights I was there. Even during the daytime, the normal street noises are problematic. The room itself was nothing special. The furniture was old and tired. The service at the hotel was indifferent. For the price you pay to stay in hotels in Singapore, the hotel overall was definitely not bad. The Deluxe Room itself we stayed in was not as clean as I'd expect from a 4-star property like this hotel claims it is but the rest of the property was really nice and well kept. I do wonder if they are aware that jacuzzis are supposed to be hot since it […] was as freezing as the pool was, even with the jets on. We were very disappointed with that since we were looking forward to soothing our tired bodies from walking everywhere. You absolutely cannot beat the location of this hotel with it being on the river next to all the shops and next to an MRT station. I do not recommend the food at the Blue Potato (they butchered an American classic for me) but the Market Cafe buffet was tasty and offered a diverse selection with American and local fare. If you are looking for a soft bed, you may have to look to visit another country since everyone I knew that visited and stayed in other hotels also had rock hard beds like we did. This was in a great location close to Clarkes Quay! The staff were very friendly and efficient. There is an extra package to pay for breakfast but this includes Internet plus free drinks every evening between 6 and 8Pm plus nibbles! Really good value.

I have stayed in Singapore many times and always used Traders and this time decided to stay downtown nearer to Clark Quay. The hotels location is great if you want a nice meal/bars and clubs on your doorstep. But the bar in the hotel was souless - $18 for a beer is steep and the rooms were not as clean as I would expect as well as the walls being paper […] thin. Example is I could hear someone in the next room visiting the toilet!!! As ever internet access was very steep starting at $15 for an hour and $30 for 24 hours its just too much and I was on business as my main reason for being in Singapore. This was a business trip and I have used the hotel before. This hotel is perfectly situated in the most attractive part of Singapore. The start of the river close to, and in between, Chinatown and Raffles.

Apart from not giving me the King-bed room I booked, overall this was a good hotel. Almost right on Clarke Quay, which has a range of restaurants and if you want shops they are plentiful in a mall right above Clarke Quay MTR (subway) station. Even when this hotel is far from full, do not expect the king bed you requested or a room with a view that is suggested by the picture on the website. A small crt tv is all we got. Swisshotel is based in a great location right next to Clarke Quay. Whilst the lobby and reception area look reasonable, the rooms are very dated and in need of full refurbishment. There was no hot water and a very strong ordour in the room. This is clearly not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Not at all impressive.

Good location. Good rooms. Public areas had strong candle burning scent which was overpowering so avoided these areas.

Excellent location. Central shopping centre is just across the street. Many food outlets to choose. Although many nightlife nearby, but you can't hear them from the hotel. But one major flaw of this hotel is the internal sound insulation. We could hear the sound of showering and plumbing of the neighbors, and doors shutting. In fact, we were awaken […] on our 2nd night by loud knocking of neighbor's door. Nature lover must visit the Fort Canning nearby. Many beautiful heritage trees.
