Our second visit to Albert Court Village delivered the expected high standard of accommodation along with excellent service from the staff, this was certainly the most pleasant and friendly of the hotels we stayed in whilst in Singapore. A couple of minor points to be addressed : the breakfast room in the main tower had slightly too loud, rather instrusive […] background music playing throughout the meal - not very relaxing; there was a substantial leak in the first bedroom we were allocated following a major downpour - both the exterior wall / window frame needed attention. This hotel has a great location - close to the MRT and to Little India. There is a direct line through to Chinatown. Service was good and food was good - there was a bit of noise due to the roadworks outside but that is a temporary problem. Rooms are dated but clean and have everything yu need.

We stayed here for four nights and although close to Little India, it is a fair walk into the CBD and chinatown areas. MRT is fantastic though and makes it easy enough to get around. I found this hotel to be a bargain. I saw some negative reviews but I had no complaints. There was a stain on the carpet in my room but that is no big deal . Had a rocky start with key cards - they should consider having corridor phones so that guests need not go down personally if they encounter problems outside of their rooms. Otherwise the room & service is good enough for a private retreat.

This was our 15th stay at the Albert Court in the last ten years. I booked our Courtyard Executive Double online. After checking in we were escorted to a first floor double room overlooking the road. Certainly not what we'd expected! A few minutes spent with the ever courteous reception staff produced the desired result... we were relocated to a Club […] room in the newer building across the courtyard in front of the main hotel building. Now, I'd always believed the rooms & suites in the newer building to be described as Courtyard when booking, but it seems I was wrong... they're called Club & there's a vast difference in the quality of what you'll get should you book one but find yourself in the other. (please see my next review of the hotel, written after we'd stayed there for one night, two weeks after this stay. I hope that makes sense? :-) ) Anyway, our Club room was tastefully furnished & there were copious amounts of hot water (always nice to find). Bath robes & slippers too. Nice! The buffet breakfast was good. It always is. But a tip... try to book a room with breakfast included in the price, otherwise it will set you back an extortionate tenner or more per person! We were first offered a room in halfly under earth located basement with visible mold flowering on the wall to wall carpet. Two more rooms later we finally got a room with no visible mold, proper windows and unbroken furniture. Mold was not smelling anymore in this fourth floor room, but we started to get mold related healt symptoms pretty soon. We […] are mold sensitized. With itchy eyes, fever and in distracted overall condition we decided to leave this for three night non refundable prepaid hotel with any price. Due to our medical condition, the hotel agreed to refund two becoming nights and we left the hotel at the morning in miserable condition. After one day elsewhere all the symptoms were gone. We used the hotel for a 3 night stopover on our way from NZ to England. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a hotel with character, very close to Little India, but with in easy reach of all the major Singapore tourist spots thanks to Sinagapore's excellent public transport system.

This older hotel is a reasonably price smaller hotel located 1 block from Little India (a very interesting place to visit but you would not want to stay right in Little India as it is pretty downscale) . It is near some great shopping and all the art colleges. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was quite good. It was plenty nice enough […] for my wife and I and we both agreed that if the restrooms were renovated (it has older fixtures) it would be an extremely nice hotel. Very convenient location, short walk to the MRT and lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel was very clean and service efficient. Price was a bit steep for the amenities (or lack of them) but thats the way it is in singapore. Reception staff were very helpful

Fabulous location, close to Orchard Rd and within walking of lots of good malls and eateries

This little gem of a hotel is great. It's right near Little India, and is a great value for its location. The staff were very accommodating.

Hotel was clean and comfortable and reasonably located for what we wanted to do. The problem was getting into our room. The room was in a separate building to the main hotel - across the courtyard. No issue with that except that the key card needed to open the front door of the building and the room. Neither of our cards did that consistently. Can't […] get into the building, off to reception - "no problem", swipe, swipe and card will open front door. But now it won't open the room door. Back to reception - "no problem", swipe, swipe. Now it won't open the front door of the building. And so on, for the two days we were there. I read a review of this hotel before we booked that said a similar thing. Seemed a bit picky to me. Overall, it was nice and I would recommend it. The only thing is that don't stay at ground floor specially room 113 as it's so close to the pump room and the noise is annoying till night when they switch it off.

The room where very conftable but have a problem with exess humidity and the room carpet has water damage at the entrance, but over all it has a good location a beautiful appearances.

Hotel was only a block and a half from the Metro stop and we were able to travel from the cruise docking area to the hotel quickly and easily even with three pieces of luggage. We were able to store our luggage and get right out sightseeing. Our room was nice, but I found the air conditioning a bit too cold (my husband, on the other hand, loved it). […] Oddly, there were no facecloths provided. The hotel offered a guest mingle and meet with food and drinks on our first night there. The Sales Manager was very friendly and helpful with advice on where to eat in Little India. Disappointing rooms @ expensive prices. We booked executive rooms and they were more of standard type. The executive area is separate building and the foyer is nice to sit in to escape the room. Had to ask 3 times for the shower to be unblocked - not nice showering in 6inches of water. Breakfast and internet really expensive. Better to eat out and find […] an internet cafe in next block.Positive thing was location. Concierge/doorman was the most helpful person. The Albert Court Village Hotel in Singapore is set in a cosy courtyard near Little India metro stop. Nearby is the shopping & eating opportunities within Little India which is fascinating. A short walk away is the Albert Mall shops & street market in Bugis street. Other tourist attractions are easily accessed. My family and I stayed 3N at the hotel and was overall satisfied with the location and cleanliness. The staffs were friendly but the at times the wait to be attended can take some time due to a small reception. There's construction going on during the day so it can be a bit dusty with slight noise, but since we don't stay in our rooms during the day, […] that's not a problem. The MRT station is about 5 minutes walk away but once you hit the station, you need an extra 2-3 mins walk underground to get to the trains. If you don't want to travel outbound via trains, just 10 minutes walk from the hotel will bring you to street shopping at Bugis Village, brands at Ilumma mall, Sim Lim square for electronic goods and an abundance of food from the surrounding hawker centers. The Albert Court Hotel in Singapore is a very pleasant and pretty hotel conveniently situated in central Singapore. You can walk to Little India, The Arab Quarter, Bugis St Market and much more. My family stayed in the hotel three times this summer. The last time it was just my 21 year old son returning from Malaysia. He had lost his cell phone and I had no contact will him after his check in. The night before he was to leave Singapore I still had not heard from him and was quite worried. I talked to the night desk clerk about my concern so […] he watched out for him as he came into the hotel. When he spotted my son at 1AM the clerk had him call home on the hotel phone line. at 1AM. Clean, inconvenience location. Unfriendly hotel staff during check in. The check in hotel staff is not that friendly at all when we check in late night after long hours flight. Good location

We arrived at 2:00 A.M. and were greeted with very nice personnel. Check-in was quick and pleasant. The lobby is spacious with sitting areas. There was a wonderful aroma of citrus coming from potted trees. The room was clean and comfortable. Service was quick and pleasant.

Staff was not friendly and the location was in a not so good neighborhood

We were looking forward to this hotel based on other comments we had read. We were not disappointed. We have already recommended hotel to others. Great location in a great city with nicely appointed room and bath. Employees were VERY helpful.

When i walked into the hotel i was amazed by how helpful the staff was. Very respectable from the moment that i arrived till the moment i left. The rooms where huge and worth the price that i paid. I would recommend this place to any traveler

Great value for the money we paid. They put us in the executive wing across the main building,which gave us nice rooms with all comfort. If it would be a business trip I would have been annoyed at the noice from the restaurants rigth below and outside (terraces stayed open until 1 am), but as we were on a holiday, it did not bother me much. We chose this hotel because it was located in "Little India", but we found that it was really more near Bukis. AWESOME place to experience the cultural aspect of Singapore vice staying at a busy downtown chain. The room was cleaned daily, and everything in the room worked well, including the A/C and a ceiling mounted fan (nice touch). The Hotel is located in a wonderful place. All things you need are close by. enjoyed my stay there.

The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast buffet was well-prepared and displayed. Doormen were helpful with taxis and other transportation. Check-in and reception staff could be a little friendlier. Enjoyed the "boutique" aspect of the hotel, rather than a large impersonal hotel chain.

Das Hotel war relativ sauber jedoch zu teuer fuer das bezahlte Geld. Fenster war auf einen Innenhof gerichtet ohne jegliches Tageslicht. Meiner Meinung nach war es ein gutes 3* Hotel und verdient die 4* nicht.
