It's a nice hotel with all of the necessities in one place. We stayed during the golf off-season and therefore wasn't too busy. I imagine it would be very full during golf season and therefore not as nice for travelers. But I would still recommend this slightly out of the way place.

THE HOTEL WAS REALLY NICE AND CLEAN. WILL STAY HERE AGAIN. A LITTLE OFF THE BEATEN PATH BUT WORTH IT.

Very nice place for a very reasonable price. Was close to the interstate but far enough off it to be quiet.

Had a nice stay. the hotel is off the beatin path, I liked that no road noise. Are visit was short, but would use the hotel again. thanks.. Cindy

I stayed at the resort 1 night with 2 of my children. We had a wonderful time! The resturant there was qaint and staff was delightful! My children had alot of fun in the pool and hot tub. I go to that area twice a year and will definitely be using bay valley again!

THE RESORT WAS FABULOUS!!!!!! WE WILL STAY THERE AGAIN..

We arrived to have the bathroom sink clog right away, the room smelt of must, the sheets smelt dirty, all in all not a clean room. We were put next to a hockey team, so our night was spent listenning to kids screaming and yelling and running down the hallways. we booked this room 3 months in advance, why on earth would they stick us with a hockey team. […] We ordered food from the heatherfields restaurant, the worst pizza I have ever had, just a cheese pizza, we asked for pepperoni and extra bacon, 5 little pepperonis and spindles of bacon, and 5 chicken wings about the size of my finger. Not a good meal. When we checked out, I complained and she told me I needed to wait until the manager came into work, or I could email to complain. Thanksgiving and was told we had no maid service which was fine other than we were told if we needed anything to come to the desk and they would get us what we needed. Went to the desk three separate times during a one hour period on two different days and no one was at desk. A sign was out that said be back in 5 min. We were also told no restaurant […] because all employees (accept for front desk) was given day off. This was a fabulous thing and we felt it was great except we were told that they were providing a box lunch to all guests. Never saw any box lunch and as I said before no front desk person to ask. WONDERFUL ideas for hotel but not so much for guest. They did not fulfill promises they made. Needed towels but had to go to pool area to get them since employees were not available. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

This was a completely negative experience. I will never stay there again and would totally encourage others not to, as well.

Hello, I am a frequent business traveler and while this hotel was nice as I would have expected for the price it was by far the noisiest hotel I have stayed at in the last year. There was some sort of party on the lower level with lous music that reverberated through the walls. In addition, I was woken up 4 times between 12 and 3 from loud people in […] the hallway. Bay Valley Resort was wonderful to stay at and the staff was incredible. The food was great too and we really enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyed the stay. Very friendly staff, decent breakfast buffet but the view was great overlooking the golf course. The only bad thing I can say was I thought it was weird to be in a king sized bed with only 3 pillows...all flattened foam. Otherwise, great stay. Highly recommend.

A bit out of the way for either downtown Bay City or Saginaw but it is directly off t he expressway! Room furnishings were a bit dated but otherwise comfortable -a good choice for the money!

The hotel was overall nice, and pretty clean. The mattress wasn't very comfortable and the walls were pretty thin, but that's not all that uncommon with hotels I guess. Pretty good for the money.

No hot water on a Saturday morning made for a horrible day and the front desk didn't seem to care. They said something was wrong with the boiler.

Clean, but extremely run down with no obvious recent work to improve appearance. Sad.

Great value with old world charm.. very clean..We had to search for a place where we could stay with our little dog.. Could hardly believe we could find such a great place..We will definately stay there again

Bay City is about 2 hours from the Canadian Border at Sarnia, Ontario, just the right distance for an overnight trip.This was our first visit to Bay Valley Resort, a truly fantastic experience. While the resort looked very nice outside, inside was a different story. In it's day, I can see it was very nice. But it has been void of any maintenance since it was built. However, the biggest complaint is that there are no elevators and we were put on the 3rd floor. My husband has a heart condition and this was most difficult.

In reading the reviews I was honestly reluctant to stay in this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The staff was friendly, our room was exactly as requested (accessible), and clean. I'm not sure I would call it outdated as some have. I think their style is a bit different from the big brand hotels. The bed was comfortable. The rooms […] were smaller than what I would call average but it was certainly comfortable. We had plenty of room to function. The only issue I noted in our stay was the ice machine was noisy a few feet from our door. I will certainly stay here again if I'm in the area. The continental breakfast was what you see in most places. Beautiful view of the golf course as you eat. My goals in a hotel are:reasonable rates, clean, safe, pleasant staff and comfortable beds. I enjoyed the hotel with the exception of the bed. It was either extremely cheap or extremely old. It was weirdly soft (and not as in pillow-top). It offered no support. The decor was outdated but I can live with that. Other than the bed, I could recommend the hotel.

This hotel was what was expected for the price. Like other similar reviews, I have to say it's a bit rundown/older, which is the only reason it's a 3 star instead of 4. However, they allow pets, the rooms open onto the course, which is great, and the bar is open late. Overall we were happy with the choice to stay here.

I was totally pleased with Bay Valley. 2nd Shift employee Mary was so extrremely helpful. When we got there they had us in a room on the third floor but only way to get to our room was up stairs and being seniors it was way to much for us. She loaded everything back on the cart took us back tofront desk and got us a beautiful room on third floor by […] elevator. She also went down to car with my husband and took everything else out of car and brought it up to our room. Get you it was 100 degrees that day. She talked very well of your organization and she has been there 6 yrs and loves every minute of it. What a pleasure it was. The pool in and out was wonderful as well as the jacuzzi. Overall the hotel is nice, it could use some updates, refrigerators and microwaves in all rooms and not have to pay for these extra! Enjoyed the pool and liked the fact that it was indoors & outdoors!

rooms needed updating, but an overall nice stay, waffels were good !

very clean and great complimentary breakfast. a real bang for thr buck. Would stay again and reccomend.

STAFF should wear shirts( men) and a make up( (ladies) ,music for bfast was the suitable loud . laundry service should be in house, bfast should have more varieties. massage chair for golfers prorgrames for newly weds and seniors dog sitter, and garden for children to play shopping centres infor should be front desk or lobby area welcome drink for new […] guests , bell hop to help the ladies with big luggages on call car service or cab อ่านเพิ่มเติม

From the outside it looks like a new building. Inside you can tell it's older but it seems that they are keeping it up. The food in the on-site resaturant was execellent.. We enjoyed our stay there.

We stayed at the Resort because it was located between our events in Bay City and Saginaw. Numerous restaurants and shopping off Bay Street (84). The room was pleasant, the resort offered golf and swimming, but we did not partake in either. The breakfast was adequate, but the service was excellent.

This place has gone downhill in the last few years. Not sure if they have new owners or what but the entrance steps are crumbling, the restaurant food is expensived and absolutely horrible, the rooms are outdated and mattress too soft. They seem to now cater to the college crowd. The lounge was overcrowded with them and one of them got a room across […] from ours and were screaming and running up and down the hall from 2am to 4am. When I went to complain, the lady at the desk said "Well you're the only one who has complained". That wasn't true as my parents and cousins had a room down from me and also called. Friday night after the bar (which is in the hotel) closed, people (college students) were extremely loud, going from room to room and slamming doors. We could here them screaming and yelling in the parking lot. Saturday night was quieter. Walls are extremely thin. We could here the tv from the room next door. The atmosphere for our grandson and ourselves were extremly pleasant and safe. The warm indoor/outdoor pool in Janurary was so inviting. There were a couple of snags but we would certainly stay again. Our heater kept popping when it came on waking us up and the bathroom tub drain switch was not opening completely allowing the water to go drain. We did […] have to call the front desk and remind them of a roll away bed and the general workers didnt seem very friendly, They kept to themselves instead of displaying a helpful attitude. A wonderful place to stay with a fantastic Restaurant. I do not play golf but travel a great deal and would come back too this Hotel n a heart beat.

We were generally please with the hotel however we were NOT pleased that: #1. The WI-FI was down and we had no internet access when one of us was in negotiations for a job and had no way to access important emails. And the excuse given was that the internet provider wouldn't service on the weekend...but we happened to be there on a Monday and still […] didn't have service on Tuesday. #2)The hotel bistro was nice and the food good, however 2 patrons were very boistrous, and the bartender lent no effort in curbing their political debate, nor the cursing, which she too shared with all of us. Greated with a massive fieldstone fireplace-burning brightly, I knew it was the right place for a getaway for Mom and I. Entry was difficult for ninety year old, but staff informed us of outside elevator. Approach was snowy and cold. Our room was in lowest level, which then required a stair climb to get to our room. I grew up in the area and played golf, tennis and have been at the resort for dinner back in the late 80's early 90's. When I walked in over the weekend, it was like walking back in time. The rooms were small, smelled like smoke and not updated at all. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel personal were excellant and very helpful. The mattresses in the room need to be replaced. Very lumpy and way too soft. The room and hotel were very clean. The continental brakfast was good. Loved the swimming pool. Had a connection for indoor pool and outdoor pool. Very nice and clean. Only bad thing were the mattresses.
