Comfort Inn Monticello - ชาร์ลอตส์วิลล์

After requesting to be moved to a non-smoking room, which was aweful; I was given a room with a terrible odor. Not sure what it was but definitely unpleasant. Stayed in the room as little as possible. Will not stay there again.

The staff was vry helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was very good. The rooms are clean and the property in general is well maintained.

You get what you pay for at this Hotel. It's not a 5 star hotel so don't expect a lavish stay. That being said, its a perfectly acceptable hotel if you need a decent room to sleep in for a night or two. The staff were friendly and our room was clean. Much as you would expect for the money, but several defects made us wish we had gone elsewhere. No lifts and we had 4 heavy bags; when we asked to be assigned a first floor room the receptionist started by saying that the manager had preassigned our romm and left, but then switched to a ridiculous story that there were tow wedding parties thee that […] night with many disabled! We liked the location of this hotel -- just off the interstate and in a non-busy location yet just .6 mile from dining and other conveniences. We decided to stay here because our next day's destination was a hike a little further down the interstate. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. A clean place to sleep. Breakfast was nice. My only complaint is that the walls are pretty thin. We could hear the family talking in the room next door.

We wanted to visit Monticello as a one night detour from the Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway. The Hotel and it's location were both good for our purpose and our room was quiet, despite the nearness to the interstate. Staff were very helpful with directions to an OK steakhouse (with a discount for Inn guests) and also to Monticello itself.

One of the very best hotels we have ever stayed at. Have stayed in alot worse for twice the price. Very clean and quiet. Excellent staff (they were AMERICAN!). Great safe location for visiting Monticello, only service we required was help with waffle maker- and we encountered rude service help.

This place was fine as far as it goes and a handy base for exploring surrounding attractions such as Monticello, Montpelier and the delightful Charlottesville. Close to sights and everything is as advertised

I did have and 18 wheel semi truck and there was room for that and it was easy to get to and that was very impotant for me and If I am in the area again I will be sure and stay there again thanks Brian

This hotel is a fine place to sleep. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. But the amenities were poor, the shower didn't drain fast enough, the coffee was average, and the food was bad. It was a fine place to sleep, but if you have other options when you need to stay in the Charlottesville area, use them.

The property has seen better days. I remembered staying there about 10 years prior and it doesn't appear that very much has been upgraded. The room was clean and function, but I would not recommend it for more than a night or two unless you were just using the facility for sleeping and not the amenities. The property does have a pool, but I didn't use […] it, so I can't comment on this. The breakfast was billed as deluxe continental. There was certainly enough of it, but it was primarily reheated frozen scrambled eggs and sausage links with supermarket-brand cinnamon rolls. NIce hotel--close to homes of Jefferson and Monroe--nice pool and great breakfast--traffic could be tricky in rush hour--also gave a discount to some restaurants and were helpful in giving info as to where to eat--

We stayed here after visiting Monticello and before heading out the next day to Mt. Vernon. The hotel is convenient to the highway, but not to downtown Charlottesville so we had to drive to get to dinner. It's a basic Comfort Inn, not much to say beyond that.

The hotel was acceptable, but not impressive.

This hotel was right off 64 and easy to find. The room was very clean and the breakfast in the morning was great. One annoying thing was that several TV channels had no sound. No sound! I called the front desk to see if it could be fixed and they claimed there was nothing they could do about it. Really? Had a hard time finding it, but I was okay with it when I got there. They made available a handicapped bathroom for my mother and that is why I reserved a room there. It was almost 5 miles from the hospital, but they made accomidations for us. Only problem was my key for the back door-never worked. We were very pleased with our stay, from the clean,updated lobby and rooms, especially the bathrooms to the high speed internet and large screen tv; not to mention the reasonable rates.

After reading reviews before our stay, I feel I have solved the mystery of the smell in the hallways. Some type of cleaning/masking agent is being used to cover up the smell of smoke. I would assume the smoke smell is coming from the smoking rooms in other areas of the hotel. Good luck removing the smell from the fabric/carpet/ even the concrete.

Location close to the highway is convenient for an overnight stay. If you are staying longer, you might want to be closer to downtown CVille. The front desk staff were very helpful in finding a place for dinner and offered to let us park our motorcycle under the front entry cover for the night. Room was nice and comfortable. No elevator in this two […] story hotel, the walk to the room was a bit long as the stairs are not centralized. Not a problem, just an oddity. We came down for breakfast ten minutes before it closed and there was not much left. The hostess was busy shutting down rather than making sure there was enough food out. We had breakfast elsewhere. This hotel is clean, convienent, and quiet. The pool is clean (I watched the manager check the water's Ph level) yet needed a little improvement on some of the tile. The staff is very helpful and the morning buffet has a good selection and plentiful. This hotel is extremely close to Moticello and UVA. This is a very outdated hotel. The entire floor, including our room, stunk of cigarette smoke. It was noisy as well. The breakfast in the morning was decent and location (right off the highway) are the only redeeming qualities of this hotel.

We were in Charlottesville for a few days to visit Monticello and check out the town. The staff at the Comfort Inn Monticello were extremely friendly and helpful. In fact, a staff member at the front desk went out of her way to talk to my kids and give us ideas for a very memorable day in Charlottesville. Front desk clerk was very nice and polite. The hotel is exceptionally clean and quiet. The beds were sooo comfortable and we loved the down pillows! What a nice touch! I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. We will definitely look for a Comfort Inn whenever we travel. Keep up the great work guys!

Very nice pool and very friendly stafft.

Overall a fine hotel in its class. The location is good especially regarding Monticello and is close to amenities. Staff was great. Only nit is that the A/C cycled noisily. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

In the last two years, we've stayed in two hotels with bug problems. What a hassle! But this hotel was so clean you could smell the freshness. And the housekeeping staff made sure we had plenty of soap, shampoo, and towels. The pool could've been cleaner, but it was outdoors, so that was understandable. Staff was friendly. I arrived late and was given a room upstairs. It is a two level motel. However, there is No Elevator and I had to drag my suitcase up 12 stairs, step-by- step, which was very loud and tedious.
