Howard Johnson Plaza - Portland - เวสต์บรูก

It was a very comfortable stay. Clean, close to all shopping areas, very friendly staff and nice pool. We were in a non-smoking room that may have been a smoking room prior, or we were located next door to someone who was smoking because I could smell stale smoke. I suggest smoking rooms be located on separate floors from non-smoking rooms.

The hotel was dated, the beds were VERY noisy, the electrical outlets wouldn't hold the plugs, but it was clean and safe. I suppose I would stay there again, but would just be aware of the detriments.

What a great stay!! The hotel was VERY clean. It was quite and relaxing. I will stay here again!!! Thank you hojo's. I will be back!!!

I got there at 10pm on a rainy night and left by 10 the following morning. The biggest plus was that it was right off the exit, literally a few hundred feet to the right. The room was pretty clean and comfortable. My complaints were that the blower dryer in the bathroom didn't work, the in room phone didn't work (the only way to activate the in room […] free internet service is with a code, I couldn't call the front desk to get it) and there was a weird stain on the only upholstered chair, but all in all, it was decent for the price. Very reasonable prices. Convenient to I-95.Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. Hallways on the third floor are smoky, so avoid the third floor if that's a problem. We have stayed here many times when visiting family, and have always had a pleasant stay.

The overall condition of the hotel and room were fine and the staff was helpful, however two things made this stay a disappointment for the money: 1) The staff recommended the Friendly's restaurant next door. Never should've listened to that one. The restaurant was LOUSY. Restaurant was not half full and it took 10 minutes to take our order and 30 […] minutes to bring our food (this is like a Denny's, nothing fancy). Then the waitress over-billed us by $5+ and when I started to draw her attention to the tab, she told ME what was wrong before I could say anything. In other words, she expected I wouldn't notice then tripped herself up in offering an explanation, before I ever showed her the numbers. I understand teenage wait staff won't always be perfect, but common... no excuse for this kind of behavior, even though she did fix the tab in the end. My recommendation is, eat before you get there and if you can't, order a pizza. This was really a bad recommendation by the hotel desk, but likely the restaurant is affiliated so it's standard procedure. Food was just average and below avg for the price.The only place I've had worse value for food is at an amusement park. 2) The highway on-ramp at this exit is under construction, forcing you to take about a 2 mile detour to get back on at another location. This should be noted in the description. For people unfamiliar with the area it might cause a problem. On the plus side the room had a safe which was a useful perk. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Staff were very friendly, it was clean, comfortable and convenient.

We were given directions to the wrong Howard Johnson, so ended up with excessive off & on the toll road--they really liked taking our money one dollar at a time! Good news is this Howard Johnson is the nice one. The other one looked pretty seedy. No continental breakfast because they are adjacent to a Friendlys Restaurant.

This hotel has a good price/value rate. We got a nice and large suite with big TV. It was clean and everything was in good condition. We just stayed there overnight but I would also recommend this for a more nights.

We were visiting Maine by car and stayed for 2 nights using this hotel as a base. Really great helpful staff. The hotel room was fantastic, very clean. The best towels ever and there was a Friendlys restaurant next to it. The pool and hot tub were relaxing after a long days drive. What more can you ask for. We stayed at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Portland, Me for the first time and we would return there for sure. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean and the grounds were well kept. The hotel is a quiet oasis.

This hotel is great for family my kids love it. we have a good time stay. we like to came back again and We would like to say thank you .

We spent two nights at this hotel. The hotel was clean and convenient. But when we got back the second night, we were surprised to see that the beds were not made.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area for just a day or two or a couple of weeks. It was very comfortable and the staff was nice. Our room was cleaned everyday to a good standard. It wasn't the lap of luxury but my budget couldn't handle luxury so this hotel fit my needs and my budget.

The hotel was clean and calm, we loved it! Also it was right next to the highway so it was really easy to go anywhere we had to go to.

We flew into Portland to make our way to Bar Harbor. We stayed at the Howard Johnsons. Very easy to get to from the airport! Staff was very accomodating and the rooms were nice and clean!

Large room. Laundromat inside hotel so you can do your own laundry. Decor is a nightmare from the seventies. You have to go somewhere for your breakfast - there's a Friendly's next door.

This is just what you would expect from a mid-priced chain. Clean rooms and lobby and a nice staff. Perfect hotel for those traveling up and down 95 who need a comfortable hotel with no bells and whistles.

Very nice room, Good TV, probably the most comfortable Bed I have experienced in a Hotel to date...Restaurant closed early on me and Pub Menu was not what I was looking for at nine-thirty...definitely would return...

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well maintained this Howard Johnsons was. It's been recently renovated and the room was very clean, as was the entire hotel.

Hotel was great, service was fine. Only complaint was not nearly enough towels in pool area, had to call every night to get some.

Great location, right off the highway. Perfect for my 5 yr old son having 2 places to eat at the hotel and an indoor pool. People were nice and accommidating.
