It was the second time we've stayed at this location. Chose it because of the price, the pool, and the location to Newport.

I have stayed here before and cant recommend it enough. It truly is one of the best hotel choices in middle town. I will always stay here when i am in Newport area.

My wife and daughter went to Newport for a weekend. The hotel was convenient to the Mansions and other things in Newport. The property is very clean. It was near several family restaurants and grocery stores. They provided a free port-a-crib for my daughter and when she got sick in it they were able to get clean sheets quickly and with no fuss.

We arrived in town very late after a long, hard drive only to find many hotels booked due to a huge parade the next day. The staff at this Howard Johnson was so helpful and considerate and even upgraded us to a nicer level room. We slept great.

...without the Newport prices. Appears to eye as ordinary motel but the rooms are lovely, clean and priced right. Staff is knowledgable and customer service oriented. Good bang for your buck.

Very nice, clean rooms. Perfect for an over-nighter and convenient to Newport sites.

Excellent place to stay, very clean. quiet, close to shopping areas and casino. Would recommend for anyone to stay there.

I did not realise how close it was to everything. I mean if you were up for a long walk you could easily hke to downtown Newport (the historic district). It's a nice hotel. Certainly nothing fancy but who cares...at that price who can go wrong. The hallway is a bit old and smelly (carpet should be replaced or something)but I find that with a lot of […] hotels and again...it is not a 4-5 star hotel so some things can be forgiven. I was very impressed there was an indoor pool and jacuzzi! I didn't realise that when I booked. I was also very impressed with the amazing fitness facility. While it was tiny...it had the most up to date and pricey equipment. I've stayed in much more expensive hotels with less. Just no freeweights. The rooms had little terraces and nice beds. I felt very comfortable and welcomed in your hotel. The welcoming spirit was also extended to my dog. We both enjoyed staying with you and look forward to returning.

They don't care if you have a quality night sleep allowing noisy partiers every night till about 3:00 a.m. I will never stay here again!!!!!!

All the amenities at Fair rates . Would use agian.

Our visit to the Middletown area and Howard Johnsons was very comforting. I felt they mada an outstanding attempt to make us all feel comfortable. Especially our family dog Jack. Getting treats when we checked in made us all feel welcome. We would most likely return for another visit.

Would recommend to all. Clean nice rooms great staff will be staying there again

The room was nice and newly updatedCheck in was easy. The only negative was the curtain did not close. We needed some privacy and were not able to get it. We left for dinner when we returned the door had not closed. The room was wide open.I guess there were honest patrons nothing was touched.

We stayed there for a hockey tournement we were there for 2 nights and 3 days. The hotel exceeded our expectations all the way around. Great pool, hot tub, clean rooms with updated linens and appointments. The only thing it was missing was breakfast, that was available for $5.00 a person. The parking lot served the Residence Inn and Ramada and Howard […] Johnson, the rates at the other hotels were signifagantly higher. So I felt we had a great value. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

Room was refurbished and immaculate, with bottled water and cookies awaiting us! Staff was courteous and friendly!

This was a great pet friendly place. It was close to Newport and the shopping.

my grand daughter and I had flown out of pvd to DC the weekend of the snowstorm. We had an early flight,so we missed it all. When we returned to pvd, we realized that we needed accomodations, and stayed there 1 night, and drove down to Newport the next day. We loved Hojos!! And you walk down the hallway to Applebys. And IHOP, & other family restuarants […] as well as the fast food chains were in the immediatel area, as well as your Walmarts, Walgreens, etc. Our room had a microwave and frig, which was helpful for my 6 yr. old grand dtr. who needed a sandwich in the middle of the day or a fruit cup at bedtime. My only complaint was the heat, it was either too hot or cool. Difficult modulating thermostat. I will stay there again, and higly recommend HOJOS. Only 10 minutes from historic Newport and the visitors center to take the trolley ride of Newport, well worth the small ticket price. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

We needed a room for our family of three plus two dogs. Not only was the room comfortable and clean, but it was also located on the first floor with a sliding glass door. We were also pleased to find that the hotel was connected to an Applebees near the front desk! Friendly staff and accomadations were pleasant.

than I had expected based upon other reviews, have already booked my next stay. Hotels was up to date and very clean, staff was friendly. Also swacription did not include mike or fridge but bother were there.

I have stayed here before and have been happy with what the hotel has to offer. It is close enough to Newport yet just enough on the outskirts that makes it easy to get home. Close to plenty of shopping and restaurants if you don't want the downtown crowds. The rooms are comfortable and I was extremely happy this time when they upgraded my family to […] a suite which was huge with tons of room for 5 of us to be comfortable, in fact, 8 of us could have been comfortable in the room they gave us. Interior was much better than the exterior. Nice rooms at a fair price.

The room seemed rather pricey for the size and location. It is not far from downtown Newport, about 10 minutes, but is in the middle of a very commericial, and not necessarily attractive area of Middletown. The room was small and close. Getting into the room was annoying. Once the green light came on you had to turn the handle quickly and every time […] knocked your knuckles on the locking mechanism. We have traveled across the country and have stayed in many hotels and motels in many tourist spots. I did not think this room compared favorably to rooms in many of the hotels in which we stayed for the price. Not one hotel was anywhere near this price, but all but one were nicer. I was hesitant to book at Howard Johnsons, considering past experiences that proved unpleasant. However, I was extremely pleased and surprised at the level of quality this hotel offered. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful; went over and beyond their duties. The rooms were very clean, spacious and accomodating; great to have the microwave […] and fridge! The pool, spa and sauna were very clean and well maintained. My only negative comment would be regarding the Applebees attached... the place was FREEZING and no one on the staff would even consider turning down the AC; the waitress was very snotty and rude. We found the hotel to be clean and neat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and I would go there again as well.

the hotel staff, front desk, was very attentive & pleasant. room was clean as were the surroundings. left feedback that the main towel rack was coming off the wall. just didn't want to be charged for it. the housekeepers managed to hang 4 towels on it anyway. also, wallpaper could stand to have a glue stick (trade secret) run along some of the edges […] to re-stick it to the wall. did NOT like the envelope left by housekeeping looking for a tip. they serviced the room once & we recycled the towels! we would come stay again. in fact we're thinking about next month! อ่านเพิ่มเติม

My wife & I have stayed at numerous hotels throughout our travels, but none has ever topped this one. All I can say is EXCELLENT and highly recommended. The room was super clean and looked new. All rooms have their own little private external balcony which is conveniently accessed by a sliding door. The hotel smelled very fresh and clean. We stayed […] in a smoking room but upon entering the room, you would never think it was a smoking room. The rates we paid for were extremely low compared with what else is in the area. The room came with a wi-fi, a small fridge, iron, ironing board, safe, etc. Also, our room was located on the 1st floor so we were able to use the convenient sliding door entry to access our vehicle which was parked literally 30 feet from the door. There is also a beautiful indoor pool, vending machines, including a Ben & Jerry's ice cream vending machine, & arcade games. The location of this hotel is astounding. Within walking distance are stores that accommodate everything your heart desires (Shaw's Supermarket, 24 hour CVS pharmacy, liquor store, gas station, fast food restaurants). The location from downtown Newport is 5-7 minutes. I have absolutely nothing bad to say of our 5 night stay that we had at this hotel. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future. A great place to stay for the price, especially in Newport, RI. Hotel was close to all attractions and the Naval Base.

Room was good, clean Beds a little worn. , Budget hotel. What we were looking for all we used it for was to sleep. Although they put one of those plug in air freshner and it over powered the room. the family and all our belongings smelled like it. I had to find it and put in on the balcony. Good deal to just lay your head down at night.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are really nice! I was pleasantly surprised. Great service and nice room. Pretty good for the price too. I'd stay here again if I'm looking to visit the area.

This hotel was perfect for our family of four. Great location for visiting Newport. Friendly, accommodating service. Clean, big room. Well maintained hotel. Easy in and out parking. Very satisfied.
