Clarion Hotel South Bay - แนชันนัลซิตี

My wife and I took a spontaneous weekend getaway. So I jumped on my hotel's app and really reasonable rates in San Diego. Upon booking the hotel I thought it was in the gaslamp district and it wasn't we got kinda nervous about the area but after we arrived in the parking lot we were very pleased. Ok if you are on a tight budget. Really noicy room (highway) and the breakfast left much to wish for

I stayed here overnight on business.The hotel was in a convenient location (gas station, convenient store, and drive through fast food just across the street). The room itself, unfortunately, was a bit substandard. The showerhead mildewed and didn't function well. The television had few channels. Overall good experience from check in to check out. Lots of Free parking greatly appreciated.

This hotel is not a 3 star hotel! It was not very clean and in poor repair. My kids even noted the poor quality.

My husband and I decided on a last minute trip to San Diego on the Fourth of July weekend. We only wanted to stay one night and were not hopeful to find anything. We did find the Clarion and although it was a little further out than we wanted, it looked like the best fit for our needs. The hotel staff were very accommodating and informative. They […] gave us tips on where to go, we wanted to grab a bite to eat without driving. They directed us to the trolley and what stops would be best for us. The neighborhood seemed a little seedy but mostly empty looking. We didn't walk around too much because of it. Outside of that the room itself was very well kept and updated. This was shocking to us, just because of the rundown area surrounding it. Parking was easy and the freeway access was right there. Not a good option to motel 6. Stick with the familiar. The air conditioner kept me up all night and the neighborhood was ghetto! On the other hand, the people at the front desk and the shuttle service made up for some of the losses.

Restaurant and bar were shut down. Food in the area was extremely limited. The room smelled. There was a large gap in the door which let light in. There were large trucks coming and going which kept me up most of the night despite being on the 8th floor. The staff was friendly and the room itself and bathroom were nice.
