If you want to be awakened by car alarms, ice machines and loud music AND have a nonworking room phone---- this is your place. Went to visit my son at college, probably wouldve been better off sleeping in the freshman dorm on campus.

Close to both campuses and downtown Burlington is just down the hill! Very clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

One of the best hotels I have every stayed in. Have no complaints..would recommend this hotel and may even stay again if I go back to the area.

The best thing about the hotel was the access to the airport. The staff was great about helping us to use their shuttle service - very prompt. The hotel printer was broken so we could not print our boarding passes... not a big problem. The public bathroom was filthy. perfect for our family, close to downtown, flawless check-in, clean room, pools were very clean.

Great proximity to airport.. had a bit of a problem with the shuttle pick-up @the airport.. got in 10:30 pm, called for shuttle, was told that it would arrive in about 10 min.... waited over 20 min. and just took a cab.. Front desk said "Sorry". The king sized bed in our room was over used and needed to be replaced. Sag in the middle.

Our room, which was on the first floor had severe mildew smell, probably as a result of flooding from Hurricane Irene...actually the smell was noticeable once we entered the hall, but was very bad once we were in the room. Front Desk girl was really rude... room was clean but bad mattress and really bad pillows. Would not stay there again.

One of the parking lot lights was on right outside our window and the window had no thick shades that would close to block it. The only covering over the window was a thin white curtain and the decorative thick curtains were only for decoration. In addition, the TV is in an awkward place in the room, so you can only watch it if your head it turned. […] Just uncomfortable. The Hotel Holiday Inn at1068 Williston Road, South Burlington on Rt 2. Williston Road turns into Main St in Burington was the best. The staff was friendly and curtious. The rooms were comfortable and clean. They had an indoor swimming pool and exercise room, which was great. They kept it clean and warm. There were two bathrooms in the Pool area also, […] again clean and vented. Only issue was the guest rooms bathrooms were not vented. So they would get foggy and possibly stinky, if your not careful. I made the desk attendant aware that I had read other reviews and wanted a room that she would not mind staying in. I guess she doesn't mind that old smoking room smell and likes it hot. We were two friends going to Burlington for shopping. Both of us have appreciated very much to stay in this hotel and will go back again. People at the reception were so nice and helpful to us. The lunch was very good. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends going to Burlington.

Enjoyed a couple of days in Burlington last week-end. A very comfortable visit. Perfect hotel for our needs.

While our room was clean (kudos to the cleaning staff), everything else about the room seemed like it was extremely old. On the first night we discovered the thermostat/central-air did not work properly. We set it at 68 and were woken up several times at night because it was more like 80 degrees. The TV picture had a bluish tint and was really not usable; […] we couldn't adjust the color and we also discovered the TV actually had a big crack in the frame that had been superglued. The next day we left the room around 2pm and on the way out told the front desk about the problems and also asked them to make sure that the room was cleaned. When we returned we found nothing had been done. This was clearly the fault of the front desk not following up. When we called the service desk that evening to at least get new towels, they were immediately responsive and were at our door within minutes. The staff in this hotel was very nice. The hotel could use a little sprucing up. Not a bad place to stay.

The staff was very friendly from the front desk to the housekeepers to the restaurant to the pool! The room was exceptionally clean and during our 3 night stay could not find a single thing to make a negative mark on! It was close to our destination spots which included the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory and the Von […] Trapp Lodge. Downtown Burlington was a 5 minute drive which provided many dining options and great shopping. Our 3 year old loved the homemade cookies at the front desk each night! Location was very good; walking distance to University Mall, a huge Barnes & Noble and a few restaurants: Friendly's, Outback Steakhouse, IHOP, etc. Service was good and hotel in general is clean. For a 3-star hotel, you can't go wrong.

The Holiday Inn is right off hwy 89, so close to several areas you may be in town to visit; the airport, University Mall, and the actual University & Church Street. My only dislike of the location was that the in & out from the Holiday Inn parking lot, which is part of a very busy, tangled intesection. The arrows in the parking lot are very faded, […] and seem to allow only a left or right turn, i.e., you're not supposed to go straight ahead, which is the direction of the mall.
