"Pleasanton Dump"
Very suprised for a Marriott, this hotel was horrible. The only saving grace was the rooms were not dirty. Arrived on Sunday afternoon, went to the bar for lunch, got a drink and ordered food. Did not see the bartender again till my food was ready. Again he left, and I had to literally go find him to order another drink. Another individual walked up […] to the bar and eventually left in the absense of service. The room was not well maintaned, but it was clean. The toilet ran through my 2 days there. The towel hanger on the back of the bathroom door fell off, the coffee maker was old, and did not work without putting as much coffee on the floor as in your glass. To top it all off, I was out of the hotel from 8AM to 5:30PM Monday, and noone ever cleaned my room, or brought new towels/toiltries. "Great Hotel"
I try to stay at this hotel as often as possible. I have been doing so for over 7yrs now when I am there on business and even personal. The staff is amazing, they remeber people by name etc.
"1 king for 3 people?!?"
Booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Arrived to find that the hotel only had a room with a king bed. We were given a rollaway bed. Very disappointing. Not what we booked.

Nice hotel, great room and service, but I felt like I was in Las Vegas--they wanted more of my money at every corner. Bottle of water in room = $3 Breakfast buffett = $18.95 Forgotten toiletries were conveniently for sale with snacks next to the front desk. For instance, you can't buy one comb for $1, but you can by a 6 pack for 5 dollars. If you're […] buying combs at a hotel, it's because you forgot/broke ONE, and need a short term replacement. They must target businesses. It's a little expensive, no free wi-fi or even wired internet in the rooms and very expensive food. If you're on a business expense account, maybe you don't care, but $11 for 3 pancakes and $4 for a bagel is bad. No continental breakfast. "Pleasanton Marriott"
The staff informed us there were no more king beds and no other rooms either. The only way to guarantee one is reserved is to book directly through the Marriott website. more than 10 people checked in after i did. the AC/heat kept turning on/off throughout the night.

Had all of the amenities we wanted. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub area and fire pit. Very nice. Check in and check out were efficient. Only complaint....mattresses did not offer much support. Nice hotel.

"Clean room - bad Buffet"
Booked through hotels.com ... Added the "breakfast for 2" adding $30 to the hotel price. Room very clean and comfy. Showed up at the breakfast buffet at 10.30 (coupon give to us at check-in didn't indicate buffet Times). Host says they close at 11 am and it will be 10 - 15 min wait. I counted 4 open tables and 3 tables waiting to be bussed. Finally […] seated.. Most food gone from buffet. The guy making omelets was doubling as food runner.. So the omlete line was 3 deep with patrons waiting. "Beautiful hotel but terrible service"
Check-in is at 3pm, we arrived at 8:30pm and our room was still being cleaned. Took almost an hour to get us in. Manager was very unresponsive and we were told because we purchased online they didn't hold the room for us. Was very disappointed. Otherwise the hotel is beautiful and clean.

"wonderful breakfast service - but no closet?"
this is a newly renovated hotel, with many amenities. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast - only complaint - no closet in our room which was weird - it was a handicapped room, which we hadn't requested.

"The Pleasanton Marriott...not very pleasant..."
Nothing spectacular about the service at check-in. Room number 1 had a openend, Trojan pack on the nightstand, I shutter to think what may have been between the sheets...I was moved to a new room with a sluggishly flushing toilet. Who would have thought 6 or 7 squares of tp would casue a massive overflow! The location is secluded yet close to shopping and dining. The Pool was heated ,salt water and spacious which was a nice change to the standard chlorine pools. The property was very clean and the Breakfast buffet was pleasant. The staff is a little slow to respond but not enough to have a major effect on the overall stay. "Great hotel"
This hotel was high quality for a low price. We paid for the breakfast buffet upgrade which was well worth it. Very nice hotel. We would stay again. We attended an event which was actually 20 miles away but could not find comparable rooms & value. The accomodations outweighed the drive.

This was such a nice hotel for the price I paid! I paid the same price at another hotel in Morgan Hill the weekend before and it was substandard and nowhere near the quality of the Pleasanton Marriot. Staff was friendly and efficient. Everything looked brand new from the beds and tv to the dining room and fitness center. Grounds were well kept and plenty […] of parking was available. If you didn't want to eat in the hotel you had many choice just a few miles up the freeway at the local malls. Red Tractor Cafe is where we ate and enjoyed the helpings for a decent price. We booked three rooms and had a great experience until the last day. We encounter an associate at the front desk who was very rude when one member of my party was purchasing a soda. I also did not receive the movie tickets from the hotel - because they said the promotion was over and that my reservation did not indicate free movie tickets. But I refuse […] to let the above incidents at the hotel prevent me from expressing my overall experience at the hotel - which was wonderful. I would rank this hotel as "Outstanding". From the comfort of the room and bedding to the decor and location of the Hotel. This place had wonderful bedding. I have NEVER slept so well in a hotel. And the price was so extremely low, it was definitely beyond our expectations. If I had seen the rooms before hand, I would have expected a higher price. Even the staff were delightful and helpful. Absolutely wonderful stay.

"Got a screaming bargain"
Most of the time, the price I get through hotels.com is 5% or 10% under the best rate I can find online. This time it was less than 1/2. Marriott must have really needed to fill some rooms that night. This is a nice, upscale hotel. The only drawback was that the pool was closed the night we were there for a private party.
