I decided on the Grand Hyatt based on location and the fact that it was massively discounted. However, while I didn't have a "bad" experience, very little impressed me. I felt that even with the massive discount, I'd paid about what the experience was worth. The location was great and room was comfortable enough but: 1) Parking is very expensive- I […] can't disclose exact rates here, but I was shocked at the price. Not knowing the area, I asked the front desk staff if there were cheaper options nearby and was told that it was comparable to what other parking garages would charge. So I went ahead and signed up for it. Suffice it to say, I discovered parking was easily available on the weekend for 15-20% of the price GH charges. 2) My room was not that clean- specifically, my toilet needed some scrubbing and the bathtub was pretty gross. 3) The pool is not what I was expecting. It's tiny. A small square in shape that is 3-4 feet deep and constantly filled with toddlers, which makes sense- it's a kiddy pool. But 5-10 small children is far more than the pool can comfortably hold 4) No extra amenities that I expected for this sort of star rating, like robes, mini-bar, turn down service, and the TV regularly lost signal- as much as once every five minutes or so- only for a few seconds, but it made for a disjointed television watching experience. อ่านเพิ่มเติม

I drove down from Philly for a spontaneous getaway. I saw a concert at a venue nearby and couldn't have been happier with the location. This was a bit of a financial splurge as it is a little more expensive than what I would usually spend for a hotel but $170 total for a king size room with very new/chic interior design was well worth it & a great deal […] to boot! Parking was a little pricey at $34 for 24 hours but it was great to leave the car post checkout and be within walking distance of all the museums/national mall attractions! I have stayed at the Grand Hyatt numerous times over the years. It is in a great location for meetings at government facilities or the Convention Center. The only negative I might add is a fairly hefty $20 charge to have a package shipped to the hotel. I stayed in this hotel for overnight during my half marathon run at Washington DC. The overall cleanliness of room, quality of service was excellent. Actually we had got stuck outside, as our door was locked and wouldn't be able to get in.... in the mean time hotel staff helped us with courteousness and gave us additional time for checkout

The entire trip was wonderful. The check in process its very personal, I loved that the front desk person walked around from the counter and greeted me in line. The rooms were recently renovated and beautiful. The location was great, I will definitely stay here again.

Meals were a weak point in my stay. Services in the restaurant were fair, buffet was cold for breakfast and very expense.

A very nice hotel although the pool is much too shallow (no deeper than 4 feet).

I came down to DC with my boyfriend for a quick weekend getaway and we had a great time! The Grand Hyatt is pretty close to all the sights- well within walking distance (we didn't use the metro, it was so nice out!). Chinatown is just a few blocks east and has lots of restaurants and nightlife- it was easy to have a great time after a long day of walking […] and sightseeing! Hotel room and staff was great. There was a bit of construction around the hotel, which kind of made it confusing arriving to the hotel at first, but overall it was a great experience. We used the Capital Bikeshare to get to the farther monuments and that was a lot of fun. At night we could just walk to a restaurant on K street. I had a great experience at the Grand Hyatt with the exception of the beds. They were very uncomfortable. We all woke up with horrible backaches. Upon check out I overhead another guest complaining of the same issue.

This hotel is INCREDIBLE. Elevators are fast, rooms are spacious and comfortable and quiet with a fantastic atrium view, wifi signal was strong and fast, room service was wonderful, and the "missing must-haves" service is so great (they will bring you complimentary personal hygiene items like toothbrush & toothpaste, razor and shaving cream, etc. AND […] let you borrow other items like a curling iron). The concierge was super helpful and spot on with every recommendation. I had an issue with my bill (to the tune of a whole grand overcharged) and they had it resolved in a friendly, prompt manner. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, but the personal omelette chef, she made it great. I had an issue with these awesome A/V hookups built into the side of the dresser not correctly feeding a signal to the TV, but maintenance was at my room in minutes and had it fixed in no time. This is the second time I've stayed in the Grand Hyatt and both times have been excellent! Convenient location for both the Mall and other common DC spots, walking distance for just about anything you want to do. Both the double bed rooms or single queen rooms are comfortable and spacious. Very enjoyable stay. Hotel was clean and newly renovated. Love the atrium cafe with water feature. Kid friendly hotel with a movie and popcorn in hotel's little theater. Front desk staff was very kind and helpful.

The location is superb in Downtown Washington, the lobby is stunning but lacking in multiple sofas and chairs to relax in. The lack of free wifi in the lobby seems a very retrograde step and very disappointing. We arrived at the hotel for check in at 3.30pm but our room was not ready and unfortunately due to another admin error by the hotel we waited […] over five hours for a room.! (however did receive a complimentary meal in the hotel restaurant of our choice). Once in the room, it was excellent . The cleanliness and decor faultless, The newly renovated bedrooms and bathrooms are very impressive and very comfortable. Food in the Sports Bar is very good and very good service. This DC hotel was in a great location, near many restaurants and walking distance to the museums(mall). It was an oasis in the city. Tasteful decorations, easy to register and staff helpful. The room was clean, bed comfortable and the pillows were just right. I would definitely return given the chance.

Excellent location close to restaurants and sights. Hotel was kept up pretty well. Services were pretty expensive within the hotel, but I guess that's to be expected. My main complaint is that I booked a room with double beds a month in advance, but when I showed up with my friends to check in they had no double beds available. The concierge said that […] even if you book a certain type of room, you are not guaranteed to get it...which doesn't make much sense to me. So, we were moved to a room with a king-sized bed and a cot and given a credit to use at the hotel. The hotel must have overbooked. We booked a double bed room and when we checked in at 3:30 pm and they only had a king sized bed. They said they would send up a roll away bed, but when we came back at 11 pm still nothing. Went down again to see what the problem was and again there was no reply. Went back at 12 am to find out after 40 minutes that the […] roll away beds were all out and that they would send up extra blankets. Never received blankets either. The following morning the room was refunded and we were switched to a different room while we were out. Came back and the front desk said they gave away our room and was never told of a new room. Went up to find that all our stuff was gone and found out 15 minutes later that they moved the stuff without us knowing. Needless to say it was a very stressful ordeal and the management needs a lot better communication. It is a nice hotel and perfect location but I would not return unless the room I booked was guaranteed to be there when I got there. This is a great hotel in a great location. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. It was walking distance to many restaurants and sites. We easily walked from hotel with our two children (8.5, 10 yr old) to the white house, the archives, the mall, etc... We felt safe walking at night as well to go to eat. You could get to the subway without leaving the […] hotel which was super conveniant. The workout facility was nice and there was no charge which is unusual these days it seems. The pool was small but adequate for kids to play in. It was really, really dirty and cloudy though. There was a small fridge in the room we could keep snacks, waters, etc...I would stay there again. My only suggestion would be to staff the concierge desk with more people. They were overbooked the weekend we were there and there was one person at the desk trying to direct people to sites, etc... Great Hotel, great location. Metro station located right under the hotel so you have immediate access to all the sites. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The Grand Hyatt was a lovely hotel. Grand it certainly was. The room was comfy, lovely shower, all very clean and the staff could not do enough for you. The hotel was a few blocks away from the white house and similarly it was very close to all the main tourist attractions.

We very much liked that the hotel has a metro entrance, we never had to go outside to get to a station. Very convenient! Parking is somewhat expensive.
