Everything besides the extremely bad housekeeping was fine. The rooms, grounds, pool area, and breakfast were very good. The housekeeping staff are horrid. Dirty and unsanitary conditions. Lazy housekeepers with hostile attitudes ruined an otherwise nice stay. The hotel was enduring construction, but our stay was pleasant. The restaurant in the plaza with the Ralph's grocery had belly dancing. I would have liked to eat there watching that.

Hotel was nice in General. It is in the midst of major renovations. Included breakfast was very good. The bad thing was that cold water would not work- it came out hot. I called the front desk. They just told me to run all the cold water in the room as hard as I could and it MIGHT open the right valve. Room excellent, grounds beautiful.....they're still working on renovating the hotel, but all in all our stay was great. Information books in room a little outdated, as the happy hour at Eric's was misquoted as ending at 7 p.m., which we based out schedule on. Hi there, I gave the hotel 4 stars because of the very friendly and accomodating staff and great free all American breakfast buffet that is included with your stay. They are under new management so they are making many new improvements but I don't know exactly what they are but one of them is to fix the free wifi which did not work the whole time […] we were there. CONS: beds are smushy and they sink in when u sleep on them and the mattresses move all over the place when u sit or sleep on them and are practically coming off by the morning if you toss and turn. Beds definetely not suited for larger people. Shower is quite small are faucets are hard to use and adjust the temperature There is no updated flat screen tv The wi-fi does not work especially with apple - but they said they're fixing that. BIG CON FOR NON-SMOKERS they mix the rooms up and smokers can smoke all over the property so make sure to ask for a room not near where they have astrays or a non smoking room next to a smoking room. PROS: great location, convenient parking, super friendly and attentive staff and super tasty free all American buffet - a great value for a family and better than ihop.. again its included in your stay. 6 am to 9 am weekdays and till 930 on weekends ..would nice if till 11am for late sleepers. Great Restaurant and bar on site with really high quality delicious food for the value especially during happy hour .. I think which is 4 to 7.**free managers welcome Mon - Fri which is free (not watered down drinks) for the adults. Sparking heated pool and jacuzzi w nice towels provided. And they accept pets, but I believe its a hefty fee. Beds are comfortable even though they're falling off. Has fridge and microwave and plenty of storage space and dining table and desk for the business professional. Overall really good value for the family especially with the free breakfast buffet. But the walls are paper thin. Nice place, currently remodeling, great breakfast. Maybe enforce the pool hours. Kids running up and down halls. Nice people. I would stay there again, as well as recommend it to others.

Stayed with family, very clean rooms, and peaceful area. Breakfast was the best... Close to restaurants and general store. We stayed only for night. Overall very good.

The hotel was ok, the bed wasn't very comfortable considering the price. The staff was accomodating and friendly, but the cleaning ladies drive their loud carts outside your doors starting at 9am. That was too noisy, sounded like a gorilla was knocking

Even though the property is a bit older, the Palm has all the essentials at a fair price. You don't get expensive shampoo and conditioner, the TVs are still tubes, and there is a bit of freeway noise you can hear, but for the price it is more than acceptable. And the breakfast buffett is quite good, better than the bigger name properties.

Room was very dated but clean.

We suggest putting a large sign so it can be located especially at night.

Great staff at hotel. Rooms nice but simple maintenance like fixing door pull at top and poolside chair webbing need to be done since they detract from an otherwise great place to stay. The staff really was great and gardens vey beautiful.

Excellent price for a fine room with everything we needed - well taken care of hotel and breakfast included - right off the 101 and walking distance to supermarket and restaurants and drug store. Free wifi wasn't the greatest but manageable.

I recently stayed at this hotel with an older family member for 5 nights. Both of us have raved about our experience to friends and family! The hotel staff are extemely friendly and personable. Eric's is a restaurant attached to the main office, and it is excellent! The wait staff take the time to explain the area and answer questions. The complimentary […] breakfast is another big perk. Every day a hot meal of eggs, potatoes, make your own waffles, bacon ect. is offered. Located very close to a mall (2 miles), stores, restaurants, the highway ect. Very quite and well-kept property. The pictures i've seen on the website do the gardens no justice. For me the negatives were the non-heated outdoor pool and the lawn chairs provided for around the pool (straps for the chairs were cut, leaving large holes) and we were unable to enjoy the pool during our stay. We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was average and clean. The only real complaint was that our armoir drawers were broken and not really usable. The hotel is an older hotel and has some age on the furniture in the room. The landscaping is nice. We would stay there again. We all enjoyed the free breakfast each morning.

They gave me a room on the 2nd floor and told me the elevator was available. It was not working. The room was cold so I turned on the heater and it made a terrible noise so I turned it off. The room is furnished well, I was very comfortable working there, the breakfast is good and the price was very good. Now here's the but... the light above the sink kept going off and on, the "cold" water from the faucet runs hot, though after running it for a couple of minutes it did cool down to acceptable. The room appeared clean, but one does not feel comforted by finding personal hairs on the shower ceiling--obviously there from a "cleaning." We were treated to a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival and enjoyed a large, first class breakfast by the pool in the morning. Convenient location, easy freeway access, quiet serene setting, and helpful staff. We plan on making this an annual event!

I found the room to be poorly maintained and the surrounding neighborhood to be convenient but not worth the sacrifice of cleanliness and overall maintenance of the property. HVAC could not be properly adjusted, toilets did not flush, sink and shower drain did not properly drain.

the hotel was pretty close to great. When we arrived (@ 8pm) there was no one working and we had to drive around with our toddlers for about 40 min before anyone showed up to give us a key. Hotel is clearly understaffed. The beds were comfy and everyone slept through the night. (4 month old/2 yr old) The breakfast was yummy and the staff working the […] breakfast was very kind. Two nights only - to short the stay for a review. Room and service was good. They have a bar/restaurant in place, very convenience and good food. The best of all was the breakfast.

Impressed with the hotel staff. High level of customer service at the front desk. When I was there they helped me with highway directions more than once. Grounds around hotel were gorgeous.

The hotel was very clean with a great buffet breakfast that is included. It is right off the freeway and the staff is very friendly. I would definitely return.

This was my third stay at this hotel. The room was tidy, and quiet. Everything was in good working condition. On my first stay this was not the case. The hotel has a great pool and the complimentary breakfast is fabulous. This is in great part due to a wonderful woman named Maria who runs the breakfast buffet during the week. She is so accommodating […] and sweet. She always remembers me! The only drawback is that the hotel is a bit dated, but it appears from construction that they are attempting to make positive changes. We were very refreshed after our stay !!

The hotel is very clean, room large, pool, service ok, very nice breakfast, the hotel restaurant is good in every way but: in the middle of nowhere, close to a Ralph's which is good if you need to buy food otherwise a little weird, nothing to do in Thousand Oaks better be in any town closer to the sea in Ventura county.

We had a room facing the parking lot which was mildly disappointing because the grounds were lovely. The breakfast was good. There was coffee in the lobby all day. We liked having shopping nearby. Overall, it was a good hotel.

This is the second year in a row we have stayed at this hotel. We are a family of four and stayed for 1 week. We love the breakfast selection and the friendly staff. The weather was even warm enough this Christmas to enjoy the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The only negative is that internet service is essentially non-functional. Last year, there was only […] ethernet cable which did not work. This year there was wireless but the connection was not reliable and when working was too slow to really surf. This is a nice facility and the breakfast is great. However, the overall condition of the hotel is slipping. Pool chairs were broken and breakfast table chairs were extremely worn and dirty. One day out of five our room was not cleaned. The night manager stated that because we had a "do not disturb"sign on our door for about an hour in the morning the […] staff did not clean our room.
