The hotel was ok, but I've stay at better hotels. The wireless internet was AWFUL!!! My door wouldn't close. I had to slam it in order for it to lock it. I didn't feel very safe.

This hotel has the potential to be an awesome hotel. It is a very nice building with greatly accessable rooms. However, for some reason it has not been adequately upkept. There was a smell of funk in the room that kinda stayed in the air. The furnishings, and bed were past their prime, and there was a general upkeep of the whole place that did not show […] attention to detail or excellence. It is off the beaten path which may be the reason that time, or oprotunity has forgotten this, what could be, very nice hotel. Hotel has attractive interior design (central, open-air lobby); staff was helpful and friendly; room was very comfortable; plus, over-night charge was a real bargain.

Ashbury Suites can check every box and it fits many traveling needs, but it is suffering from low volumn and neither is it a great place nor is it miserable. But, it has a breakfast and among the "free breakfast" offerings it is among the worst. Food is left out too long and by the second day we were paying to eat at Waffle House. You are glad places like this are available when all you really want is a quiet place to spend the night and move on. But, don't for a minute think you are going to send a postcard and tell anyone you were there. I was taking my Grandkids to Mobile and it served its purpose. Lovely lobby, nice room with recent redecorating and upgrading. Only negative was the breakfast -- very mediocre and the coffee in the room was pretty awful.

First of all, the free breakfast was actually $7.00. The outdoor pools were closed, the spa that was on the property map has apparently been turned into a garden?? The indoor pool was freezing and the roof was leaking in several places including directly into the pool. The room was ok other than the biggest cockroaches I've ever seen!!! This is not a hotel, it's a motel. When I was driving to my room I saw a man stealing hub caps off of a car...did not even look at room. . .checked out and went to the Hilton.

Not all reservations include the breakfast. At $7/person it can make a difference in your plans.

Mobile is a tough hotel town so I was forced to try the Ashbury. My expectations were very low but I found it to be a pleasant surprise. It was comfortable considering the cost and the bed slept great. Def not a Courtyard or Hyatt Place which are typically 3 star hotels, but better than a Super 8 or Motel 6. the hotel was hosting a high school prom on site, wild kids everywhere, could here the dance music clearly in my room until past 11pm, then rumbles of kids who the hotel rented to all night. Complained to the desk numerous times, asked to move rooms, would not move me unless paid for a 25 dollar upgrade- Did not sleep at all!!! I was very pleased the amenities provided for the room I had reserved. The breakfast offerings were plentiful and a variety of food items to choose from. Only thing missing was the fresh fruit. hotel was clean, and the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was amazing!

This is more like a super 8 hotel than a 3 star. Looks nice from the outside but that's it. They sent me to the back of the building where the rooms are compared to 1 star ratings. Won't go back again.

Hotel was acceptable but nothing special. Were informed that since we used hotels.com we were not allowed the breakfast that other registered guests were allowed. Also we were assigned to a rear room that the wi-fi signal worked about 5% of the time. We were denied breakfast and access to the pool. I was required to pay an additional fee for my children to use the pool. I was not aware of this prior to booking and will not use this hotel again.

Wwill not stat there again. Room not very clean, people approached us in parking lot asking for money.

Very pleasant stay close to all hotel attractions will choose again.

The website and picturesd for the hotel itself led me to believe that this was an indoor hotel. Definitely NOT!!! This hotel has to have been there since 1980's with 90% of the rooms exposing you to the elements of outside as soon as you open the door with the only upgrades being done to the lobby area. The tub stopped up. The sheets were itchy. And there is no elevator.

This hotel was very nice. Nice indoor pool and lobby. Very convenient to shopping and downtown area only a few minutes away id you take the interstate out.The only complaint is hotel website (not hotels.com) is misleading in advertising free hot breakfast buffet. Rooms were clean ,but the pillows on the king size bed were too small and very flat. We booked the hotel thinking it will be nice to take our grand children swimming in the indoor heated pool, but the heater was not working and our grand children were very disapointed. The main reason for selecting this hotel was for the heated indoor pool. We were there for a cheerleading competition and was looking forward to after competing going hang out in the pool, well the pool was ice cold all hotel said was the heater was broke. This is an older Hotel, but it was very comfortable and spacious. We had a large flat screen TV, Microwave, and refrigerator. I am not sure if all the rooms are like this, or just the deluxe rooms. The price was great, they had free Internet, and free parking. We would stay there again. Thank you Hotels.Com.

Better than I expected for the price. I was given an upgrade. Room was clean and comfortable with a big flat panel TV on the wall and a recliner to watch it from. Looked like a favorite for truck drivers because of the truck parking. I plan to stay here again.

Nice cushioned chair to relax in besides the desk chair.

A very nice place.The breakfast was outstanding. And the staff was very nice and most helpful.

The hotel is old, outside weeds overgrown. The first room I was booked in was a non smoking room. When door was opened the cigarette smoke was very strong, without even going inside.The desk clerk was not very helpful, saying there were no other rooms, of couse there were many rooms. For a first time stay it was the best in the area.

Usually the motel is very good, but this tie the tub would not drain and the commode made a terrible and disturbing noise during the entire tank fill time. When booking on line breakfast meal tickets are not placed into your room key envelope eventhough the advertisement indicates breakfast.

The accomodations was excellent, felt warm and inviting, the room was excellent. The view overlooking the in door pool was a added touch. The staff was nice and smiling, warm and friendly as well. The parking was nice, not to crowded ,very safe litup parking lot. I will stay at the ashbury again soon. Thanks for a very memorable night.

Very clean and friendly staff. Very close to shopping and plenty of places to eat at. Convenient to downtown which is where they host BayFest every year.
