I was pleasantly surprised how great the service was at this hotel. If you've stayed at a large downtown hotel before (take the Boston Airport Hilton, for example), you know that usually you're just one of 10,000 nameless guests, that everything is overpriced, and nothing is provided free. At this Marriott, I got the exact opposite treatment. First, […] the desk staff knew me, knew why I was visiting, knew to recommend a local Italian restaurant.....it's like my wife called ahead to brief them. Second, the services were all there when I needed them at reasonable prices - wifi is free, water in the gym is free, draft beer at the bar is $5, coffee in the gift shop Starbucks is $2. Third, the room service staff took great care of me. When the attendant delivered breakfast, I asked about a box lunch to take with me, since I didn't know if there was any place to eat where I was going. He said he'd check. 10 minutes later, he was back with a box lunch made to order (it was 7am, by the way), bottled water, apple, cookies, and a map of the area. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!! The staff were amazing...very, very friendly and helpful. would highly reccomend this hotel for anyone visiting Providence.

This hotel is an excellent hotel with warm and friendly service from the staff and comfortable accommodations. I stay at the Marriott every time I visit Providence.

This is a lovely hotel and the staff were very nice and professional. The outdoor pool area looked lovely but we were there during a snowstorm. There was ample complimentary parking which is the reason I chose this hotel. The heating system in our room was loud and I could hear people talking in the hallway during the night. It was everything it said it would be and more. I came for a visit with my daughter who attends college in Providence and while she was in class I was able to enjoy all the ammenities this hotel has to offer. Will be back again!

Great hotel, loved the outdoor pool/lounge area. The only negative I have is the lack of updated bathroom. It is not in walking distance to the downtown area, however it is close to the universities, clean,nicely decorated, comfortable and pet friendly.

Convienent location just off RT# 95, great pool, nice room. Loved the shuttle service to the local breweries.

There was no ice machine on my floor. I reserved a shuttle that arrived almost 30 minutes late, and made me late for the event I was in town to attend. The staff did not seem very concerned about this. The hotel did not have anything around it other than a gas station, and was not close to any attractions. The room was very nice, but the promised HBO […] service did not work. In fact none of the HD channels on the TV worked. nice stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Providence Marriott Downtown. The Indoor/outdoor pool was refreshing and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I would definately stay there again.

This was our third year going to Downtown Marriott in Providence for Labor Day weekend. Renovations are in progress around the Lobby area, but the staff handled check-in very smoothly. Good place to stay for parents with students at Brown, or if you or if you plan on attending an event at the Providence Civic Center. Great location in central Providence. Popular hotel for functions - some late evening noise but not overly so.

The hotel was very nice. The staff was very helpful & accomodating. The one downfall was one of the beds in our room (we had a double) was not very comfortable.

The cool thing about this place is the amazing outdoor pool area. My wife and i live about 45 minutes away and wanted a getaway weekend for our anniversary so we stayed at the Prov. Mariott. We didnt expect such a cool place. Gives you the feeling of being somewhere outside the city---Like at a resort on the islands. VERY COOL PLACE

I decided to drive down to Providence from New Hampshire to get away for the weekend. I landed at the Marriott and got a room for a very good price. The room was excellent and the service very quick and polite. The restaurant and bar had super service and the food was very good. I spent time at the pool since it was so hot outside and the live music, […] and bar only added to the awesome experience. I sat in the lobby while my room was being cleaned and the service people were all so friendly and welcoming. The only drawback was that the hotel was a distance from downtown. excellent stay! Staff very kind and helpful

Upon walking in the staff was extra friendly and cheerful. We were there for the fourth of July holiday and as soon as I got my room keys the gentleman let me know where the fireworks were going to be and handed me a flyer! The room was clean, comfortable, and attractive. I'll definitely be staying here on my next trip to Providence, RI.

We went to the hotel restaurant, they werent very busy plenty of seating...20 minutes later we got our drinks. Then we rushed to order becuase the kitchen was closing. Another 25 minutes for food and we ordered another drink it arrived long after the meal was over. What an absolutely horrible experience. We will not be going back there.

A delightful surprise. Low key exterior, but great pool area and nice room. Staff was exceptional. Excellent restaurant on premises. Will definitely stay there in future.

No problems or complaints with the hotel except that wi-fi is only available in the business center and lobby. In the rooms, you still have to use wired internet, and there's only one available port.

The hotel was clean and centrally located in the heart of downtown Providence. I wish we had more time to enjoy all the ammenities that the hotel had to offer...

From check in to check out evryone working at this hotel was friendly and great. Free shuttle service to and from downtonwn is a plus..

The Downtown Marriott is always convenient for me. The free shuttle will take one about anywhere. Close to all the great Italian restaurants.

Had problems with bathroom and it took over 1 hour to get maintanence staff to show up.. Because of slow response time water started to puddle on floor and flow into room area. After bathroom was fixed, housekeeping did not show to clean up water.... final the hotel moved me to another room but by that time I was not a happy customer...

Nice, clean hotel to stay in Providence. a short drive (5 mins) to most of the sights, but its a good hotel for the price and the pool is very nice!

We decided to take a last-minute trip to providence and got a good deal on this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our first room smelled bad—kind of mildewy. This would have been disappointing for a nicer hotel but when we called the front desk they were very accommodating and moved us rooms. The bed was VERY comfortable […] and everything was clean. Do not get aroom facing the interstate if possible. Good value for the money.

There was a young man from New Jersey who checked me in. He was fantastic! Very thorough and professional. Also had wonderful restaurant options for us to try. He was exceptional in that he remembered the recommendations and would ask us throughout our four day stay. Very impressed!
