The airport is south of Center City and one SEPTA train ride away. In South Philly, locals choose between Pat’s and Geno’s for an authentic cheese steak. Both are in the 100-year-old Italian Market, an open-air market spanning 10 city blocks. The last time I stayed at a Hilton I found the same thing, a filthy room upon check-in. They seem to put a lot of money into making their lobbies look nice, but the rooms here are not very modern. In addition, there were crumbs on ground, a dirty coffee cup in the bathroom, stains on the comforter, and the tub was disgusting. I would say this hotel could certainly use a makeover and the cleaning staff should put a little more effort in their work. After having a similar experience with Hilton on my last vacation (including finding a dirty sock when I walked in), and this being a second chance having given the benefit of the doubt, I can confidently say I will not be using one again. Our stay for one night was very satisfactory. The restaurant could have done with a little better help in service. We asked our waitress for a couple things which she never gave to us. I had the room on the 8th floor of the hotel which is currently being renovated. There was a sign advising the hotel is being renovated, but that didn't help with the site. This is a great hotel to stay at by the airport. I do buiness in Philidelphia which requires a rental car. "A whole new level of friendly"

"Birthday Getaway"
Our stay at the Hilton was rather uneventful. It wasn't the best stay but it wasn't the worst hotel experience. For starters, I was excited about the image of the pool with the giant Logo at the bottom that was posted on the hotel information page. When we arrived we were told there was only one pool and it wasn't the one with logo at the bottom. I […] kinda felt like that was false advertising. Second, My wife had a bag of cosmetics which included a pocket knife that was left in the bathroom during room servicing hours. When we came back room service had emptied out her bag and laid everything including the pocket knife neatly along the sink. we thought this was kind of weird, like either an invasion of privacy or just going the extra mile for customer satisfaction. either way it made us uncomfortable. Lastly the climate controls for the room were kinda of difficult to use. For a Hilton hotel it feels like the whole building could use a modern update. The food was good but the tab for two cheese steaks and an apple juice wiped that smile off my face quickly. I love the location of this hotel and have stayed here before but I was disappointed in the upkeep of this hotel. They've done a poor job at refinishing the rooms and the final touches have suffered - loose sink handles, a noisy/whistling shower, cracks in the wall in the bathrooms, permanent stains on toilet seats, and holes in the towels - yes towels […] is plural! For the price of a room, very disappointment in the condition of the hotel. Old carpet, dirty sheets, bathroom had different color knobs on faucets. I felt like was a Motel 6 with high prices. "Convenient"
Overall the stay was very good. It was a very convenient location, without being around all the busyness of the actual city. It seemed like we took the same easy road to get everywhere we were going. Unfortunately we had an issue of our next door neighbors and their friends making a lot of noise and very loud conversations and yelling. "Night before flight"

"Not what we expected"
There was nothing grand about this Hilton but it was nice. The room was smaller than we thought but it was very clean. The room service WAS NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!! My husband ordered pancakes and they tasted like flour and water with powdered sugar on top. My omelet wasn't what I ordered and I was given a refund. My omelet was $15.38!!! "A little disappointing"

"A great stay before a flight!"
Since we had to take a flight the next morning at 7 a.m. we spent the night before the flight at the Hilton. The hotel was easy to find, and the service impeccable.
