Do NOT stay at this hotel... street in front is under construction. No general parking available and your only option is paying $40 for valet. Air unit in bathrom made horribl noise. Mentioned it to staff to have repaired while we were out to dinner and nothing was done... OR, if they worked on it, they did not report to us anything and the noise made […] it hard to sleep all night... Also, you can hear people in the batrhoom above your room. Everything was fine, clean, well-maintained, etc., but for the major bucks it costs per night, one would think free wifi would be in order or perhaps a free hotel shuttle. Meals were outrageous, as well. Yes, of course, downtown L.A. is expensive. But for this much money I guess I was assuming one would get a few "perks," anyway. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It's complex, though. By the time I got used to the layout, it was time to leave! The staff was friendly, the view was great, and the location was nice. There are plenty of restaurants around as well as within the hotel. Although the Asian foods and pizzeria places inside the hotels seemed a bit worrisome to eat in. […] however, Brewery was good. Excellent front desk folks on check-in and check-out. Bonaventure brewery has good food and variety of beers. Very clean rooms and safe downtown location. Valet parking is good but expensive.

We loved the room and we watched the sunset from the revolving bar on the 35th floor. my family loved everything about the stay. The parking is a bit over the top....$40.00 for 1 night......... and it looked like there was public parking across the street for $8.00.. other than that it was perfect!

The Bonaventure was a 1980's hotel on the downslide, but Westin has done a nice job putting a fresh face on it. The service here was great. I waited a long time a check in, but the attendant apologized for the wait and to make up for it, sent a bucket of beers up to my room. Very nice. Room was clean, service was good. We asked to get the sink unplugged, but nobody came to fix it. Otherwise convenient location, scenic revolving lounge. There is a cheaper garage close to the library.

Terrible. Convention of kids in hotel running around everywhere trying to make videos, extremely annoying. LA Prime is not even close to worth the money (go to mortons across the street). Parking fees, even for hotel guests, are outlandish. Reserved two queen beds, was given one king. Was told I would get a roll away at no charge. Took 3 phone calls […] and 4 hours for the roll away to show up, my back still has not recovered. The hot water also went out during our stay. Will stay again. The only complaint is the room was located next to the outside elevator and the featherbed was missing from the bed. Even still. overall it was a good experience.

Comfortable and safe! My friend and I were staying in LA by ourselves and felt safe and welcome at this hotel. Room service Pizza was great too!

Great hotel, staff is nice, but the rooms are smoke or mold infested. I'm in LA on business a lot. The last three times I have stayed at the Westin there was a mold or smoke issue in the room. Normally I switch rooms, but this time they were all mold infested. They sent up an ionizer to clean the air, which tells you this happens quite often.

The stay was good & view was very nice; location was central. Appreciated the parking validation across the street. However, the long check-in line; no one informed me re: parking when I checked-in; the comforter was stained badly in between the covers which was not visible outside. Our stay was great. Staff is outstanding! We went up to go see a Concert at Staples Arena and the location of Hotel was perfect. Very well taken care of felt like a "Rock Star". Would for sure stay here again, and recommend it to friends.

I can't believe this hotel can be ranked at 4 STAR. We have been staying with other hotels around LA downtown but this is the worst. The room is small and the bed is tiny. Bathroom needs to be fixed right away. It only offers plastic cups in the room. the overnight parking is $40 per night.

We found this hotel to be very comfortable. There a quite a few choices of places to eat within the hotel itself and it is probalby a 20min walk to the subway station.

I enjoyed my stay . The hotel is very nice and located in an excellent spot for access to downtown LA. The only complaint about the hotel is the unfortunately high fee for internet access.

I think the room needed a music system to plug your phone or notebook into and I did not like how the toilet was situated with your back hitting the counter behind you.

The only problem I had was parking. It was horrible!! There are no signs to the parking structure (which is under the hotel) and I kept pulling up (on one way streets) and they were like, "nope, it is on the other side". When I finally found my way to the valet (underground), I ended up sitting in my car for 10 mins waiting for someone to take my car. […] It is quite a trek up to the reservations desk, but the staff were quick and friendly. My room was lovely, and well appointed. The view was great! The room was very small, the closet was broken so it kept opening. The housekeeper didn't provide anything after cleaning if I didn't ask. Some of the staffs were very unfriendly. The parking fee was over charged by mistake twice. The internet kept disconnecting, I had to keep logging in.

After a month long stay in New York, the friendly (very friendly) attitude in this hotel is not only welcoming but also very refreshing. Easy check-in, they gave me the choice of a room on a low or high floor and I took the high floor. The view of the city was great, the room was very clean and fancy looking and the bathroom too. We got just married on Chistmas Eve and the guy at the front desk updated us to a suite when have paid for a standard king room. It was very kind of him! It's very beautiful enjoying a drink at the lounge at floor 45 since the bar twists and you can enjoy all LA's Downtown skyline without moving from your chair.

Room was very clean although with two queen beds, somewhat small. Bathroom looked recently remodeled. Breakfast buffet was very good but quite expensive. Many food options at many price ranges within the hotel. Many thanks to the person who suggested parking at the World Trade Center rather than use the hotel valet at a savings of around $20/day. Me and my wife have been going to the Bonaventure of a while now, this was the first time it was disappointing. 1) Checking in was very slow. Ok no big deal. 2) Top of 5 was ok. We got the sea bass which my wife said was seared too crispy on the top which I agree. The filet mignon was ok. I am unsure if it was because we were on a Saturday versus our […] usual Friday night stay? Not sure. 3) Rotating bar was ok, we didn't stay long as we normally do. 4) Breakfast. All you can eat buffet was very bad this time. Food was cold. For $22 me and my wife ate hardly anything. We should of ordered off the menu. The meal shouldn't cost more than $5 for that quality. hash brown was cold, french toast was cold, the only thing we ate was the bacon and orange juice. For the both of us, this mean was over $50 it wasn't worth it. Very disappointed. 5) Over night $40 parking. For all this morning, it would have been more enjoyable staying home and going to a nice restaurant.
